The Carplay MMi add-on allows you to use Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Screen mirror and AirPlay functions on the original screen: Google maps, Waze, Sygic Navigation, Apple Maps, Spotify, Apple Music, Whats app, Deezer, Podcasts, to name but a few – all of which can be accessed on the original multimedia screen!
The module has the functionality to use your car’s original Bluetooth channel, this way maintaining good sound quality compared to the AUX audio channel. It is also possible to use your car’s original Bluetooth phone function via Apple Carplay / Android Auto.

Android Auto users!
If your car has an NBT EVO system and a touchscreen, module will only allow you to control Android Auto with the iDrive knob.
BMW Carplay uses the original monitor, so the original BMW look is maintained. The device menu is controlled using the original system’s controls – the dial and steering wheel switches – so the original BMW driving experience is maintained. BMW Carplay is fully integrated with the original BMW parking systems – the device will automatically switch to the rear camera or parking sensors when reversing and switch off when shifting. The BMW Carplay wiring harness is connected to the original connectors, so there is no need to cut and solder any connections. The device is fully ready to use and requires no additional programming.
BMW Carplay supports AirPlay and Screen Mirror, which allow you to share your smart device’s screen, view photos or videos, and can also play high-quality video or audio files from a USB stick. BMW Carplay has an additional equaliser function that allows you to adjust the settings of the original sound system. The device has its own camera control system, which can be connected to the rear, front or both, so if your car hasn’t had this benefit before, this is a great opportunity to install it.
